Audition call

For the new Scala production 'PIECE OF A CENT' we are looking for singers/actors (m/f/x) for two major roles.

Scala (formerly TapasTheater) usually provides a playground for (new) makers who perform their own performance. Since August 2023, we have also been creating space for singers/actors to perform in a performance written especially for Scala. For this purpose, Scala has entered into a partnership with a number of young, experienced writers. They each wrote a 20-minute performance. The performances 'Monday evening' and 'Between the sheets' recently premiered with great success in Scala. 
 

What are we looking for?

• Singers/actors (m/f/x) with a playing age of 25-30 years

• With a completed professional vocational training (or during your internship year) 

• Preferably living in Amsterdam or immediate surroundings

• Availability to play in the evenings on January 4, 5, 6, 10 to 14 and 17 to 21, 2024

• Availability to rehearse in December/January
   

What do we offer?

• Opportunity to present yourself to a new audience as a performer

• Playground in Amsterdam in January 2024, usually from Wednesday to Sunday

• A fee (percentage of ticket sales)

• A network of professionals from which new collaborations can emerge
