Audition call

For a new Scala production 'Delicates', we are looking for two professional actors (F/X and M/X),
playing age 25–35, who speak native or accent-free English and have strong comic timing.

- Performances will take place in June 2026!
 

'Delicates' is an intimate, text-driven two-hander in which humour and vulnerability constantly intertwine. Celine and Henry’s second date begins with light small talk about wet socks and embarrassing memories, but quickly develops into an honest conversation about love, doubt, and desire. With relatable humour and touching sincerity, the performance explores how exciting, and surprisingly funny, it can be to truly let yourself be seen.
 

Important to note: over the course of the performance, the actors appear in progressively less clothing (underwear), with physical vulnerability playing an essential role in building tension, without any nudity! 
Actors are also welcome to apply as a duo (friends, couples etc).

Auditions will take place April 9. You need to be available for rehearsals in May (exact dates to be arranged) and for evening performances on June 4, 5, 6, 11, 12, 18, 19, 20, 25, 26 & 27. The location is Scala (Van Hallstraat 286, Amsterdam).
