What is Scala?
Every evening, we present three 20-minute performances across various genres (from cabaret to music, and from theatre to spoken word).
Before, between, and/or after the shows, you can enjoy our shared dining menu in our cozy food bar.
At Scala, you have 100% flexibility: you decide when to arrive, which 2 or 3 shows you want to see, and when to eat and drink.

Theater
Every night, we program three performances of 20 minutes in genres like cabaret, singer-songwriter, theatre, comedy, and musical theatre. They are always professional performers, sometimes well-known names like Alfred van den Heuvel, Ellen Röhrman, or Lone van Roosendaal. Emerging talents also began their careers here at Scala, including Lisa Ostermann, winner of the Leids Cabaret Festival, singer Merol, and Luuk Ransijn, winner of the Amsterdams Kleinkunst Festival. You decide whether you want to see two or three shows, which ones, and at what time. The program changes every two weeks.
Food Bar
Before, between, and/or after the performances, you can enjoy our shared dining menu, on an à la carte basis. You decide what and when you eat. We make sure your dishes are served on time for your next show. Our menu features options like a Mezze platter, various Flammkuchen, Arancini (risotto balls), and Quiche. Of course, there are also desserts: think white chocolate fudge cake, Blood Orange Sgroppino, or a cheese platter from the famous 'Kef'.

Drink menu
At Scala, you can enjoy your drinks not only before, between, and after the performances, but also during the shows. We have something for everyone: more than ten specialty beers, an extensive wine list, classic and original cocktails, and more. Naturally, there’s also a wide selection of non-alcoholic options, including mocktails.

Heel gezellige plek om op een laagdrempelige manier van korte theatervoorstellingen te genieten. Eten en drinken is ook fantastisch (de scroppino bloedsinaasappel moet je proeven!), en een top prijs-kwaliteit verhouding. Een avondje uit op z'n best!

Wat een geweldig concept is dit zeg. Korte voorstellingen en tussendoor lekker borrelen en hapjes eten. Ik kom zeker nog terug!

Voor het eerst geweest toen het nog Tapas Theater was en toen al heel erg onder de indruk van dit leuke concept. Nu bij Scala geweest op de nieuwe locatie en wat een vooruitgang. Prachtig pand, mooi design, heerlijk eten en wat een toffe shows. Scala is echt een avondje uit die ik iedereen kan tippen!
